JAMMU: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain has directed all the intelligence agencies including SSP Jammu to activate all resources available with them to generate intelligence having bearing on Republic Day-2024 in advance so that anti-national and anti-social elements could not succeed in their nefarious designs.
ADGP Jammu Zone on Monday chaired a meeting with the officers of intelligence agencies, Army/BSF/CRPF/Armed/District Police and Civil Administration at Zonal Police Headquarters, Jammu to discuss the Police/Security arrangements required to be made for the celebration of Republic Day-2024.
During the review, ADGP Jammu emphasized the importance of collaboration among various law enforcement agencies, intelligence units, and other stakeholders to create a robust security framework.
Special attention was given to crowd management, traffic control, and the deployment of advanced surveillance technologies to enhance situational awareness.
Jain stressed upon all the officers that proper briefing be given to the officers/ Officials deployed for Republic Day duties .
He stressed upon all the participants for effective and coordinated efforts at gross root level for smooth conduct of the National events.
He further advised that adequate security arrangements be made in and around the venue of Republic Day function which is organized at M.A. Stadium.
Anand further directed all the intelligence agencies including SSP Jammu to activate all resources available with them to generate intelligence having bearing on Republic Day-2024 in advance so that anti-national and anti-social elements could not succeed in their nefarious designs.
He further said that Supervisory officers be directed to remain alert in their respective jurisdictional areas.
He further said that a proper co-ordination be maintained among all the intelligence agencies, Army, PMF, Traffic and Security wing in their respective areas of jurisdiction to foil the nefarious designs of ANEs and ensure smooth and incident free conduct of National event.
He emphasized upon SSP Jammu/SSP Traffic City, Jammu to create adequate parking slots be identified in advance so that vehicles are parked in an orderly manner. Traffic arrangements be made in such a manner so that general public may not feel any inconvenience while reaching the venue of function.
