JAMMU: Rural Ration Dealers Association, District Jammu, expressed concern over the problems being faced by the ration dealers at a meeting held here on Thursday.
Chairman of the Association, Ajay Kumar Gupta urged upon the FCS and CA Department to release the pending commission of ration dealers.
“Minister for FCS and CA as well as Director of the same Department has announced number of times that the commission of ration will be paid after two months but the dealers have not received even a penny for the last 18 months,” Gupta said. Gupta said that the FCS and CA Department charges Rs 7 for empty bag from the ration dealers for which the FCI is charging nothing from the department. He also expressed concern that the rural ration dealers are paying the cost of ration, carriage charges of ration, unloading, shop rent, electricity bills, etc in advance despite facing problems.
The Rural Ration Dealers appealed to the Minister for FCS and Director FCS to look into the matter and resolve their grievances at the earliest.
The association members requested the ration dealers to assemble at Baba Kailakh Nath Temple, Thathar on 16th January to discuss next course of action.
