Abid guides JKSSC XI to 28 runs win

JAMMU: Abid Nabi led J and K State Sports Council (JKSSC) made it a 28 runs victory against KCCC in the ongoing cricket tournament for Chief Minister’s Cup at Country Cricket Academy Ground, Gharota, near here on Thursday.
Batting first, JKSSC set a target of 176 runs losing all their wickets in 35 overs of the 50 overs game. Khalid was top scorer with 41 runs while Sahil Shafi and Abid Nabi contributed 34 and 25 runs respectively. Pankaj added 23. For KCCC, Sahil Lotra took four wickets. In reply, KCCC could not hold their nerves against the pace bowling from Abid Nabi and lost all wickets for 147 runs in 29.5 overs. Somaya Jain and Ankush were main scorers with 33 and 22 runs respectively while Ram Dayal added 17. For JKSSC, Abid Nabi took most of the five wickets to be adjudged Man of the Match.
Now, in their next outing, JKSSC shall take on Katra Cricket Club tomorrow.
