JAMMU: Expressing surprise over the manner in which the sensitive issue of sacrilegious act at
Aap Shamboo Temple is being investigated and handled by the government, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Chief Spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma said that the contradictory action of the government and administration in the matter are very disturbing and cause of serious concern.
Reacting to the developments in this matter during past few days especially the slapping of PSA on the accused , after so many days of investigation and now the announcement of the Govt on the floor of Assembly to withdraw
the same, is the most disturbing manner of handling a very sensitive issue relating to the religious sentiments of the people.
He said that this is clearly shows that the government and its
various organs are working at cross purposes and the people have every
reason to doubt the
fairness of the government in the matter, which calls for a credible independent and impartial probe in the matter to bring out with whole truth in this incident to instill sense of confidence amongst the people.
