Ravinder provides 20 lakh for relief, 77 lakh for power system
RAJOURI: MLC Ravinder Sharma-Chief Spokesperson JKPCC has provided an amount of Rs 20 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund for relief and rehabilitation measures for those affected by recent rain and floods and authorised District Development Commissioner Rajouri for utilisation of the said amount for the purpose.
Sharma undertook tour of various parts of Nowshera and Sunderbani Sub-Divisions to take stock of the relief and restoration measures undertaken by the authorities and met cross section of people to listen to their problems. He also visited several affected families in different villages besides those staying in temporary camps in government buildings or tentage accommodation provided by the army authorities.
Sharma also reviewed the exercise under taken by the administration in the area with the field officers of different departments and stressed for early restoration of essential services wherever affected. He expressed satisfaction that necessary efforts have been made and most of these services have been restored.
He also provided funds to the tune of Rs 76 lakh for improvement of power supply system in Nowshera and Sunderbani Tehsils out of his Constituency Development Funds and asked the department to expedite the process.
