Dear Editor,
It will be an absolute folly to trust China and indulge in ‘Hindi-Chini bhai bhai’ once more.
We must quietly build our defence capabilities and signal to China that we will not be pushed around even though we want good relations with that country. China’s belligerence is evident from the fact that it considers South China Sea as its private lake, bullying countries such as Vietnam, the Philippines. Also, it has a running feud with Japan.
