Teachers resent department’s pick-choose policy
POONCH: A meeting of United Teachers Association was held on Saturday at Krishan Chander Park Poonch under the chairmanship of Manjeet Kumar Sharma President of the Association wherein various issues relating to teaching community were discussed at length.
While speaking on the occasion Sharma alleged that pick and choose transfer policy adopted by the department has put the community into mental torture. He further said that despite of clear cut transfer policy under GAD order No 861 of 2010 why pick and choose transfers are made for reasons better known to the authorities at the helm of affairs. He demanded immediate implementation of said Govt. order and to stop such practice of transfer which badly affect the functioning of the department. He also demanded release of pending salary of the functionaries working under RMSA and SSA.
Zaki Haider Vice president condoled the deaths of the victims of recent floods in the State and paid tributes to them. He also appealed to the community to extend their full cooperation in the rehabilitation of flood victims where ever required by the administration. Those who spoke on the occasion include Ravinder Singh Den Secretary, Zulafkar Ali, Gajan Sing, Asrar Ahmed ,Sabar Hussain and Vijay Sharma.
