JKHDF for providing immediate relief to villagers

RAJOURI : Jammu Kashmir Human Development Foundation (JKHDF) demanded immediate relief besides the basic amenities including road connectivity to thousands of residents of village Gambhir Mughlan who suffered heavy loss due to incessant rain and flood last week. This demand was floated by the Chairman JKHDF Mohammad Sayed Mughal in a press conference held at Rajouri on Friday.
Mughal said that over 26,000 people of Gambhir Mughlan are totally disconnected with rest of the world and are in the worst state of affairs because there is no road connectivity, no power, no water, no ration and many of them have lost their roofs also.
Mughal called on DDC Rajouri, Jatinder Kumar Singh and explained the plight of the people of Ghambir Mughlan and requested for immediate relief and restoration work in the village. The DDC assured him to take expeditious action for restoring the normal course of life and providing the relief to the victims.
The chairman while addressing the press appreciated the Central Governent, State Government, army and the Air Force besides several social organisations who have come forward to help the flood victims in the State.
Others present in the press conference include Zahoor ul Islam, Legal Advisor Adv. Qamar ul Zaman Khan and Tahir Mehmood.
