UDHAMPUR: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Yasha Mudgal convened a meeting of all district officers of the Udhampur District to review the rescue, relief measures being taken up for the flood victims here today.
Mudgal expressed sympathies with the affected families and issued directions to concerned officers to immediately undertake rescue operations so that the loss of life and property could be minimized.
DDC directed the concerned officers to gear up the pace of relief works in the district so that affected families do not suffer more. She directed the concerned departments to step up efforts for early restoration of essential services besides prioritising repair of vital utilities.
She appealed to all officers to donate generously and cooperate with the administration to tackle with the situation arisen due to heavy rains and floods.
Yasha Mudgal also expressed sympathies with the grieved families and appealed to all the general public, prominent citizens, NGOs and all associations to donate generously and contribute more and more for the noble cause of humanity and the victims of natural calamities in the district.
