JAMMU: Our proud Jkiian once again carve her mark in the realm of education as Rishita Bhagotra, a bright student of class IX, showcased exceptional leadership in the “Road Safety Awareness Programme” held on February 5, 2024 at Government Women College Gandhi Nagar.
As the youngest special invitee, Rishita addressed a gathering of over 500 college students, imparting invaluable insights on road safety awareness with precision and dedication, organized by the Motor Vehicles Department in collaboration with NHIDLC and Higher Education Department, the Mega Road Safety Awareness Programme marked a significant initiative during the road safety month.
Rishita, representing our institution, played a pivotal role in sensitizing college students about the paramount importance of adhering to road safety rules.
The institute takes immense pride in Rishita’s exemplary performance, as she confidently tackled the issue and inspired the youth to prioritize road safety. The event witnessed distinguished guests, with Niraj Kumar, Secretary of the Transport Department, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Transport Commissioner J&K, Rajinder Singh Tara, was honoured as the Guest of Honour, adding prestige to the impactful awareness initiative. Jkiians continue to excel not only in academic pursuits but also in contributing positively to societal welfare. Rishita’s commendable efforts in promoting road safety is highly appreciable.
Shashi Chaudhary, the School Director, expressed pride in Rishita’s achievements and lauded her for confidently addressing the critical issue. Encouraging her for future endeavors, Shashi Chaudhary highlighted the significance of such initiatives in shaping responsible citizens.
