LEH: His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama is scheduled to visit Ladakh on 10 July. After having rest for a few days at his residence in Leh, the Dalai Lama will make a visit to Chowkhang Vihara. His Holiness is also scheduled to give teachings on 21, 22, and 23 July at Jivetsal teachings grounds.
President Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) Thupstan Chhewang told this to the media at a press conference on Friday at Leh. Chewang got the confirmation of the Dalai Lama’s visit from Dharamsala in the morning. He said that invitations and requests have been extended to the Dalai Lama to visit different places within Ladakh which will be decided only after the arrival of His Holiness in Ladakh.
Thupstan Chhewang informed that His Holiness The Dalai Lama will preside over Yarchos Chenmo (Summer Buddhist Council) 2023 which is being organised this time by Lamdon Deskit Tsogspa and Lamdon Model Senior Secondary School during Lamdon’s golden jubilee celebration.
