Cong protests against poor infrastructure

KATHUA: Alleging State regime responsible for its failure to initiate the infrastructure development of Sub-District Hospital Hiranagar, and other public issues Congress activists staged a protest in front of SDM Office under the leadership of District Congress Committee President former MLC Subash Gupta.
Subash Gupta while addressing the protesters said that escalating hardships of public and lackadaisical attitude of the government towards the redressal of the problems had proved that the State Coalition as well as the Union Government had turned Nelsons’ eye towards public.
Subash Gupta said that former Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad announced expansion of 30-bedded hospital, to 100 bedded and as part of this, he released token money of Rs 80 lakh in year 2013, which is lying with the R&B Department.
Showing strong resentment for PDP-BJP Coalition Governments’ failure in restoring water, power and ration supply in different parts of the district, Subash Gupta also said that government has totally failed in providing basic amenities to people. He also said that repair of deep drilled hand pumps, allotment of at least 5-Marlas plot to the people residing on the border at safer places, widening of two narrow bridges falling on Hiranagar to Hiranagar Morh road, initiation of balance work for completion of Children Park near Higher Secondary School Hiranagar are some other main demands. Subash Gupta raising alarm warned of intensifying struggle if government fails to fulfill the demands.
