Bovine smuggling bid foiled at Kathua, five animals rescued

KATHUA: Police foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing five bovines from the clutches of smuggler.
According to a report, reacting swiftly on a specific information , a team of Police Station Kathua headed by SHO Police Station Kathua Inspector Anil Sharma and SI Verinder Singh Incharge Police Post Industrial Estate laid Naka near Logate Morh in the intervening night and intercepted one Mahindra load carrier (JK02BA- 5625). During checking of the vehicle it was found loaded with five bovines. The driver of the vehicle managed to escape from the spot however, police has registered a case vide FIR No 329/17 under section 188 RPC 3/5 PC Act at Police Station Kathua.
