RAMNAGAR: Expressing his serious concern over casual approach being adopted by the authorities in checking sliding of mud, which has been posing serious threat to Ramnagar town, senior Congress leader and Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) Thakur Balbir Singh on ttuesday assured the people that he would take up this matter with the authorities concerned. “It is very unfortunate that mud sliding is posing a grave threat in Ramnagar town but authorities are the helm of the affairs appear to be non-serious”, Singh said while interacting with people at Ramnagar. He, however, said that he would take up this matter with the officers of the Geology and Mining Department and other concerned authorities to check mud sliding. Singh said that he would also bring the matter to the notice of the higher-ups in the administration to provide immediate relief to the people.
Singh, while addressing these public at Ramnagar, regretted that performance of PDP-BJP government appears only on papers.
He said that except photo session and issuing lengthy press notes, Coalition Government has done nothing to solve day today problems of the people.
He regretted that system appears to be completely collapsed because power and drinking water are luxuries in this belt. As 15 to 20 hours power cut is routine affair in this belt, water supply is also badly affected, Singh said.
He also pointed towards shortage of ration in the belt. He said that system has totally collapsed in this belt and regretted that on the one hand people have been confronting with the shortage of ration while on the other hand authorities have not taken any step to solve this problem. He further said that health and education sectors were also defunct in this belt adding that there was huge shortage of teaching staff in the schools.
