AKHNOOR: In yet another effort to instill democratic values in the younger generation, the investiture ceremony of the Students Council for the year 2017-18 of Maharaja Harisingh DAV Centenary Public School Akhnoor was organised in the precincts of the school.
A special assembly was organised on the occasion in which Principal of the School, Alok Betab lighted the ceremonial lamp and decorated the Head Boy Abhay Sharma, Head Girl Lipsa Rajvansh, Vice Head Boy Bhuvnesh Magotra, Vice Head Girl Kritima Sharma, CCA Incharges Akarshit Bargotra and Vanshika Rajput, Chief Prefects Prianshu Sharma and Vaishali Sharma, Sports Incharges Kunal Sharma and Kashish Sharma, Morning Assembly incharges Sulabh Sharma and Arushi Gupta, Notice Board Incharges Nakul Gupta and Akriti Sharma, Over all discipline incharges Jatin Kumar and Vishakha Kumari and other discipline incharges apart from House captains , vice captains and prefects of all the four houses namely Amar, Gulab, Partap and Ranbir with badges.
The members of school council pledged to abide by the rules and regulations of their alma mater and they promised to work in tandem for smooth functioning and efficacy.
Principal Alok Betab in his motivational speech urged newly school council to have clear conscience while delineating their duties. He also reminded the students of the role of leaders and their sanctimonious duties towards the school and inspired them to become role models for their peers and juniors and live up to their expectations.
Anshu Sharma, Bandana Sharma and Shaveta Bhadrala conducted the proceedings of the programme.
