SRINAGAR: In its efforts to hone the skills of talented youth of State, Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) under civic action programme is organising a sports festival in south Kashmir.
The endeavour will channelise and boost the talent of budding players of the State both in boys and girls category.
Various sports events under the age group of 19 will be played at District, Range, Zone and State levels.
The interesting teams and individuals of all districts of south Kashmir are informed that they can collect and subsequently submit entry forms for first phase at their respective DySP DAR Offices by or before August 12, 2017.The first phase of the event will commence on August 23 and will culminate on August 30, 2017. The finalists of first phase will compete in second phase of South Kashmir Range Sports Festival with the finalists of other districts of South Kashmir.
Various games including T20 cricket, football, volleyball, kabbadi, tug of war, karate, 200 metres race for boys, 100 metres race for girls, javelin throw, discus throw (02 kilograms for boys, 01 kilograms for girls), shot put 4.5 kilograms for both boys and girls, kho-kho, wushu will be played in the sports event.
