KPS organises diversity Mela at Kathua

KATHUA: The staff and students of Kartar Public School (KPS), Barnoti organised diversity Mela, a cultural event on unity in diversity. Students of classes 3 and 4 with great zeal and gaiety showed sense of unity among diversity in Indian culture and society.
The event involved an array of exciting activities, including market stalls, a giant inflatable assault course, live music and dance, as well as side show stalls organised and created by students of classes 3 and 4. Students of class third, drew the attention of the viewers with their colorful costumes through which they portrayed the lifestyle, food and the beauty of Jammu and Kashmir and Gujarat. Class fourth students showed rich culture of Rajasthan and Kerala. Students also astonished the chairman and Principal by communicating with them in Rajasthani Language. Class third, students showed the true flavours and richness of spices in our Indian food. They prepared various dishes of Gujarat and Jammu and Kashmir which tantalised the taste buds of many. Class fourth students were shown in different colors of Kerala. Their folk dance performance expressed their love for their country. Class fourth students with their mouthwatering dishes of Gujarat won the hearts of many.
Chairman Er. Nirmaljit Singh applauded the efforts of staff and students in making the event a great success and expressed that synthesis of diverse social and cultural elements has upheld its unity and cohesiveness. Principal Mamta Agarwal appreciated the efforts of students and teachers.
