JAMMU: Police on Wednesday arrested six gamblers and seized stake money nearly Rs 15,000 from the gambling spot.
According to a report, acting on the specific information, a police team of Police Post Nehru Market led by In-Charge Police Post SI Kunal Singh conducted a raid at Warehouse area and arrested six gamblers namely Mangal Singh son of Bihari Lal resident of Khour, Sunil Singh son of Baldev Singh resident of Khour, Vijay Kumar son of Bhim Sain resident of Akhnoor, Jameel Singh son of Shalu Singh resident of Khour, Kuldeep Raj son of Tota Ram resident of Bimal Akhnoor and Sunil Singh son of Nachha Singh resident of Devipur Akhnoor.
Stake money of Rs 12,600 and memo money Rs 2,410 were seized from the spot and a case under 13 Gambling Act against the arrested gamblers.
