SRINAGAR: A Kashmiri Pandit organisation on Wednesday alleged that the 2003 Nadimarg massacre in South Kashmir was planned by militants and local youth to “take revenge for 2002 Godhra riots” in Gujarat.
24 Kashmiri Pandits were killed by terrorists in South Kashmir’s Nadimarg hamlet in March 2003.
“When Kashmir Pandit Sangarsh Samiti (KPSS) did ground zero investigation about this crime, we found that it was a well-planned attempt by some armed insurgents and local youths from the adjoining villages to take revenge for the Gujarat riots and to celebrate Pakistan Resolution Day by killing Kashmiri Pandits,” KPSS President Sanjay K Tikoo said in a statement here. He alleged that 24 Kashmiri Pandits were murdered in cold blood by the militants at Nadimarg in Shopian district on 23rd March, 2003.
“From the last 14 years, not a single person has been punished for the same,” he said.
