CRPF organises Volleyball tournament

BHADARWAH: Continuing its efforts to inculcate the sportsmanship among the youths and to provide a platform to young talent in sports activities, 33 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised four-day Volleyball Tournament at Bhadarwah.
The event was organised under Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Government Higher Secondary School Boys Bhadarwah in which 16 teams from District Doda are participating.
On the inaugural function, Principal Government Degree College (GDC) Bhadarwah, Nisar Ahmed Bullah was the Chief Guest who inaugurated the tournament.
ASP Bhadarwah Sajjad Salaria, SDPO Bhadarwah Brijesh Kumar, Tehsildar Bhadarwah Masood Ahmed, Principal Annie Kotwal, SHO Bhadarwah Jatinder Sambyal and Educationist Arif Rana also graced the occasion.
The Chief Guest encouraged the players to maintain proper game spirit. All the players were provided Sports kit.
“Such activities of CRPF will certainly help in developing better police public interface,” said a participating player.
Commandant 33 Bn CRPF A. Padma Kumar said, “We are organising this tournament as a platform for budding players as this area have potential of this game.”
He further added that the CRPF is keen to make a healthy relation with the people especially youths for betterment of the area.
Among others who were present on the occasion include Neeraj Thai 2IC (Ops), AC Balbir Singh and AC T .T Zou.
