Agriculture technocrats seek release of pending salary

JAMMU: Agriculture technocrats of all districts of Jammu region on Thursday held a protest here against State Government for not releasing their salaries for the last 22 months. Protesters under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA) gathered at Exhibition Ground near Press Club and raised anti-government slogans.
Dr. Surinder Radotra, State President JKATA, said, “We are without salaries for the last 22 months and the government is watching with closed eyes.”
Vinod Sharma, Chairman JKATA, added, “We have met all the government representatives regarding our issues before and after regularisation and they have promised us that our services as Rehber-e-Ziraat will be included in regular service on the pattern of ReTs with all benefits of old pension scheme with effect from 1st April 2007 but till date government is not able to pay us.”
Dr. Radotra appealed to the government to release the salaries of all VAEAs of both Jammu and Kashmir regions immediately.
