NOWSHERA: A deputation of villagers met SDM Nowshera on Tuesday and brought to his notice that the work on construction of Modren Village is being allotted to the selective people in which the funds are being misused.
The residents of Panchayat Handan namely Master Som Raj Chairman District Congress Committee, Prithvi Raj, Raman Choudhary, Romesh Chander, Yog Raj, Ravinder Kumar, Ram Singh and others met the SDM on Tuesday and complained about misappropriation of funds and the works being assigned to selective persons. They said that the funds to the tune of Rs 2.8 crore was to be equally distributed to eight wards which has not been done. They demanded that an inquiry be held and the work already allotted be stayed. The SDM gave a patient hearing and issued instructions to the BDO to inquire into the matter and submit report immediately.
