JDA employees to hold Dharna from March 22

JAMMU: JDA Employees Union, Jammu decided to hold three-day Dharna from 22nd March against the non serious attitude of the concerned authority towards their demands.
This was decided in the meeting held under the chairmanship of President JDA Employees Union, Ashok Singh Jamwal, here on Saturday.
“The higher officers had assured the union to fulfill their demands within period of one month but till date no action has been taken,” Jamwal said.
Their demands are regularisation of consolidated, contractual and casual/daily rated workers who have completed seven years of their service, grade to the helpers, 10 per cent quota of plots/quarters to the JDA employees, enhancement in FTA for the field staff and taking of major steps to safe guard the JDA’s colonies.
