SRINAGAR: To revive and boost the tourism industry post floods in the State, the government has worked out a reassurance plan and accordingly the Department of Tourism is participating from 28th to 30th November, 2014 in IITM-Hyderabad.
The participants from the department include Director Tourism Kashmir, Director Tourism Jammu, MD JKTDC and Joint Director Tourism Kashmir.
Various private tour operators from the State are also participating in the three day event. The Department of Tourism is providing publicity material and other related information to the intending tourists at the venue.
This is the first national Travel Mart in which the Department is participating after the floods of September-2014. The Department is also planning to take part in various National and International Trade Fairs including SATTEE at New Delhi, TTF Mumbai and IITM Kolkata. organising of FAM Tours and Tourism conventions are among the other components of the reassurance plan.
