UDHAMPUR: Under the active supervision of the Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Mohammed Shahid Saleem, the Excise Team Udhampur led by Rajesh Verma under the command of Excise and Taxation Officers, Excise Range Udhampur-Reasi, Naresh Koul and Excise and Taxation Officer, Eradication wing Suresh Sharma raided the Vast, Mantalai, Seramorh, Sarad, Bupp and Ghanshda areas of Udhampur District to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor.
In the process more than 150 kilograms of Lahan, 13 pouches of illicit liquor made from Lahan was recovered by the raiding team which was later destroyed by the team on spot. During the course of raid one lady namely Jatti Devi wife of Kuldeep singh resident of Ghanshda was arrested with possession of illicit Liqour.
