Ranji: J&K vs Services clash ends in draw

JAIPUR: The Round 4 contest between Jammu and Kashmir against Services of the Ranji Trophy 2016-17 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur ended in a draw as it was a high scoring match from both teams. Services won the toss and chose to bat. Services ended up putting a total of 477 runs in their first innings after Rahul Singh struck century of 182 runs off 276 deliveries which consisted of 21 boundaries. Parvez Rasool was the pick of the bowler for J&K as he finished with the figures of 5 for 117. J&K started off on the same not as their opponents did. They ended up putting 612 runs for the loss of 8 wickets by the end of Day Four resulting in a draw. The J&K innings saw three centurions as first it was opener Shubham Khajuria who scored 111, which was followed by Ian Dev Singh who scored 120 and it was finally Samiullah Beigh who remained unbeaten on 109. Vikas Yadav remained the best bowler from the lot for Services as he finished with the figures of 4 for 188. It was Rasool who was adjudged as Man of the Match for his impressive bowling in the first innings. Jammu & Kashmir have 3 points after this draw whereas Services have just 1 as off now.
