RAMBAN: Police on Thursday arrested a bootlegger and seized 57 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
As per the details, acting on a specific information, a police party of Police Station Dhamkund laid a Naka near Sumbhar and during the checking a person namely Prithvi Singh son of Sham Singh resident of Magarkot Batroo recovered 57 pouches of JK Desi Whisky from his possession. Accordingly, the bootlegger was arrested and a case under FIR No. 36 U/S 48-A Excise Act was registered at Police Station Dhamkund. The arrest has been made by police team led by Station House Officer (SHO) Dhamkund Anuroop Sharma, under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban Randeep Kumar and Dy.SP Hqrs Ramban Mohammad Rafiq.
