JAMMU: A truck carrying LPG cylinders suddenly caught fire near S-Morh on the Jammu-Katra highway, on Wednesday evening.
According to the police, the truck bearing registration number JK05B-2034, loaded with the cylinders, was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu. As the truck was reaching near S-Morh, Nagrota Bye-Pass at 5:00 PM, it suddenly caught fire.
On receiving the information, Nagrota police along with fire extinguishers rushed to the spot and controlled the fire averting a major disaster. “Heating up of front tyre rim resulted into fire”, police said.
