Drug peddler nabbed in Samba

SAMBA: Police on Monday arrested a drug peddler and recovered 3 grams of smack and 28 grams of Charas from his possession. According to a report, it was reliably learnt at Police Post Supwal that one Manik Sharma son of Bushan Lal Sharma resident of Supwal, is selling some drugs to the youth of nearby areas at Nanak Chack, near railway bridge. While acting swiftly, a police party of Police Post Supwal headed by SI Surinder Singh Nagra rushed to the spot. However, on seeing the police party, Manik tried to flee from the spot but was given a sharp chase and apprehended by the police party on spot. During his search, 3 grams of smack and 28 grams of Charas was recovered from his possession. A case vide FIR No. 132/2016 under section 8/20/21/22 NDPS Act was registered against the accused person at Police Station Samba.
