‘Shun differences to counter opportunist political parties’

JAMMU: Giving a deep thought and showing concern against uncertainties and sufferings which Jammu region is facing at the hands of opportunist political leadership working at tangents arriving at no firm decision for the benefit and development, prominent members of All Jammu Civil Society Forum on Friday resolved to rise above all differences of political affinities, religion, region, language, caste and creed, to fight negative forces for ensuring benefit of the region and consequently that of the State.
The resolution was passed during a meeting of the forum held under its Convener Th. Gulchain Singh Charak and Co-Convener Abdul Majid President Muslim Federation Jammu at the Dogra Sadar Sabha complex.
The convener introduced the members and allocated duties. It was decided to call a general body meeting to finalize the action plan and subsequently translate it into implementation. In the mean time the members were given time to reach out at the grass-root level and list out the aspiration and immediate needs of the people and priorities them to be discussed in the next meeting.
Others present in the meeting include G.A Khawaja Additional General Secretary, Om Parkash Gupta Secretary, Amanat Ali Shah Joint Secretary, Colonel Virender Kumar Sahi Incharge Media Cell, Brigadier M.S Jamwal (Retired), Surinder Mahajan, Raghbir Gupta, Janak Khajuria Incharge Cultural Heritage Committee, Madan Rangila, Yash Paul Gupta, Neeraj Anand, Attar Singh, Vijay Gupta, Kuldip Wahi, Anan Sharma, Parveen Gupta, Balwinder Singh, Deepak Gupta, Khurshid Ahamed Bhatt, Col. Karan Singh Jamwal (Retired), Kulbir Singh, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Sohan Singh, Deepak Gupta, Dinesh Maini, Chhatter Singh and Ravi Singh Slathia.
