Dear Editor,
“Grow more trees”, “Every citizen must plant one tree each”, are a few slogans reiterated on World Environment Day and Earth Day. But are we really following them? The answer from 70 per cent people is no, 20 per cent say yes and the rest do it for a noble cause. Every year, hundreds of trees are cut down due to personal necessities. I felt pain when trees at my own vicinity were being cut down for development. Every person in this world has respect for his/her particular religion and better management of it will pave the way to make the Earth a healthy planet and free from global warming. Trees should be grown and looked after like a baby.
