JAMMU: Senior kabaddi teams of the State on Monday left for participation in the 62nd Senior National Championship under the banner of J and K Amateur Kabaddi Association. The team shall be taking part in the competition slated to be held at Trichengode in Tamil Nadu from 14th to 18th January.
The selected teams were presented with sports kits by president of the Association, Anil Gupta in the presence of other office bearers of the Association, including general secretary, Kuldeep Gupta. Also present were Anil Modi, Surinder Mohan Gupta, Dinesh Gutpa, Jasbir Singh, Ajay Gupta, Rakesh Sharma, Sangram Singh, Manik Sharma, Sanjeet Kumar, Khazar Mohammad and Ankush Gupta.

MEN: Mohinder Singh (Captain), Harpreet Singh (vice captain), Amandeep Singh, Aashiq Hussain Khan (Baramulla), Tajamal Majid Dar (Baramulla), Tazeem Ahmed Khan (Poonch), Manmeet Singh, Aman Singh, Rattan Singh (all J&K Police) Hilal Ahmed Malla (Kulgam), Zaber Hussain (Kathua) and Mohd Ishaq Pala (Anantnag).
WOMEN: Monika Verma (captain), Ayushi Ujjwal (vice captain), Sanna Sharma, Samreen Kour, Aaiza Nabi, Neha Badyal (Kathua), Sureshta Devi (Kathua), Rabia Sarfraz (Poonch), Sobia Kouser (Poonch), Nahiada Nabi (Baramulla), Ishu Bakshi and Prinka Tikku.
