SRINAGAR: Anantnag Police on Sunday arrested three persons and recovered 240 bottles of Codeine Phosphate from their possession.
During a Naka at Harnag, police recovered 240 bottles of Codeine Phosphate from a Sumo bearing registration number JK01E/0425.
Three persons namely Mohammad Ramzan, son of Mohammad Abdullah, resident of Khudwani, Aijaz Ahmad Ganie, son of Abdul Aziz Ganie and Muzaffar Ahmad Lone, son of Ghulam Hassan, both residents of Frisal, who were transporting the contraband in the Sumo, were arrested.
A case was registered in this regard at Police Station Anantnag.
