Students made aware of importance of vote at Bhargava Degree College in Samba

SAMBA: Continuing with innovative interventions, the SVEEP activities in District Samba were dovetailed with the Blood Donation Camp which was organised on Thursday in Bhargava Degree College Samba.
Deputy Commissioner, Samba Mubarak Singh, who is also the District Election Officer and Chairman Red Cross Society, was the Chief Guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC exhorted the students, especially new voters to exercise their right of franchise for a better world. He impressed upon the students to further spread the message of importance of vote to bring the required change in the society.
Later, a signature campaign was organised in the college in which more than 500 students participated. Besides, SVEEP awareness messages formed part of the campaign.
Satish Sharma, GM DIC, presented a brief overview of various SVEEP activities in the district.
Later, more than 50 donors donated blood in the blood donation camp organised on the occasion.
V. S Hans, Principal, Bhargava College Samba, Fareed Kohli, District Social Welfare Officer, Samba, Anshu Mali, AD CAPD, Staff of HDFC Bank, and representatives of Blood Bank were also present.
