NOWSHERA : Heaps of garbage and filth continue to pile up in Nowshera town due to continuous strike of Safai Karamcharis for the last three days. The protesters staged a Dharna outside the Town Hall and demanded immediate arrest of the criminals who murdered 23 years old youth Sikandar Khan on 27th October, 2014 and threw his body on the road side.
A deputation of the protesters also called on the SDM Nowshera Deepti Uppal and sought her intervention for early action by the police to arrest the criminals. She assured that the police is already on the job and they would get fair justice. At the same time she asked the Safai Karamcharis to resume their duty for cleaning the town because the decaying garbage can lead to an epidemic. The protesters were also advised by Naib Tehsildar Mushtaq Ahmad.
