Shaheed Manjeet Singh Memorial T20 Cricket: Youth Sports Department XI wins exhibition match

POONCH: Youth Sports Department XI thrashed Media XI in an exhibition match of the Shaheed Manjeet Singh Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, declared open by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Poonch, J.S Johar, here on Wednesday.
Batting first after winning the toss, Youth Sports Department
scored a changeable total of 175 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 20 over. Gurvinder was the main scorer with 68 runs in 48 balls while Shezan Bhatt also added 25 runs to the total. For Media XI, Romi and Rinku shared two wickets each.
Chasing the target, Media XI could not recover from quick blows and was got all out on 128 runs.
Sagara Singh was the top scorer with 48 runs and Romi contributed 18 runs.
Neraj took three wickets for 15 runs and Joginder, Gurvinder and Monty took two wickets each.
The match was officiated by Pritpal Singh and Navinder Singh as Umpires.
ASP Amit Gupta, DySP HQR Khalid Ameen, DSP Operations Shezan Bhatt, Harchran Singh Khalsa, Pardeep Kumar Rakesh, Davinder Singh, Krishan Singh and J.B Singh were also present.
Earlier in his address SSP Poonch appreciated the role of Shaheed Manjeet Singh Club in the field of sports and congratulated Mohammad Tariq for his effort towards the development of sports.
