Only BJP can ensure fair deal to all: Jitendra
STATE TIMES NEWS
NEW DELHI: As countdown began for the release of the first list of BJP candidates contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, MoS PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh said here on Saturday that the people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve to be liberated from several decades of mis-governance, discrimination and rampant corruption, and in the present backdrop, only BJP can ensure a fair deal to all.
In an interaction with a group of media persons, Dr. Jitendra said that BJP is the only national political party today which has enlarged its public base across the country, primarily on the basis of the performance of its governments at the Centre and the States through its highly focused approach for development with modern initiatives.
The five months of distinguished performance by Narendra Modi government at the Centre and the example set by the BJP governments in States like Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan have convinced the people that BJP is the only truly democratic option for their progressive future in 21st century, he added.
Notwithstanding the baseless accusations made against BJP that it is allegedly biased against certain communities or sects, the evident fact is that a majority of Christians in Goa have voted second time for a BJP government and over 70% of Muslims in the country have, in a survey, expressed the opinion that they feel more secure under BJP rule.
Dr. Singh said, gone are the times when a handful of dynasty-ruled political parties fooled the people in the name of religion or region just to perpetuate their predominance.
With more than 65% of country’s population comprising youth, the young voter all over the country including in the State of Jammu and Kashmir, wishes to join the mainstream of India’s global march towards economic prosperity and employment. The Narendra Modi leadership has shown a direction that has been hailed by even the most developed nations of the world, he added.
Dr. Jitendra cautioned that politics of appeasement or slogans instigating regional divide will no longer cut the ice in the forthcoming elections because people across all sections of society and the three regions of Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir have convincingly realized that such a retrogressive approach will leave Jammu and Kashmir far behind while the rest of the subcontinent will move on.
