KATHUA: Police on Wednesday achieved a big achievement when a huge consignment of banned drug was seized by the police being smuggled into the State from Lakhanpur.
According to a report, on a specific information a party from Police Station Lakhanpur headed by Kuljeet Singh Dy.SP DAR, Inspr. K.D Bhagat, SHO Police Station Lakhanpur laid special Naka and apprehended one person namely Safeer Ahmad Lone son of Habib Ullah Lone resident of Aadipura Tehsil Sopore District Baramulla.
During search, police recovered 4,320 capsules (Spasmo Proxyvone+), 560 Rancof bottles, 590 Biorex bottles from his possession. A case under FIR No.81/2014 section 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Lakhanpur against the arrested accused and investigation is going on.
The whole operation was held under the supervision of SSP Kathua, Pawan Parihar.
