Resolves issue of Dharhal deputation, participates in Yoga Day celebration

JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Government in the Centre has committed to development of every nook and corner of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir as it has suffered a lot due to divisive policies of successive regimes. He said that the people of this Union Territory are themselves witnessing a mega transformation on ground in terms of unprecedented development in J&K.
This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta while interacting with a deputation from Dharhal led by BJP District President, Rajouri, Sharief Manhas.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory has been witnessing unprecedented development after abrogation of Article 370. He said that the Modi government took marvelous steps to create robust infrastructure which earlier was in dismal shape and acted as a major hurdle in development of the region. He said that with basic infrastructure ready and the government offering ease of doing business with perfect ergonomics the progress of J&K is now a matter of days and for all this people should give credit to Modi Government which has created a platform to ensure growth and development of the region as never before. Kavinder said that the time has come when J&K can compete with the developed states of the country as it has acquired all parameters attained by those entities which consider themselves part of pool of developed part of the country.
The deputation members apprised the former Deputy Chief Minister of the problems being faced by them due to non-completion of two major road projects worth Rs 12 crores in their area. They informed Kavinder Gupta that these incomplete road projects include the Sambli Road project worth Rs. 6 crore and Dharhal Sagrawat Road project worth Rs. 6 crore have been pending since long and craving for attention of the authorities concerned so that these projects get completed at the earliest thus providing respite to the people of the area. Kavinder gave a keen and patient hearing to the delegation members and assured them of getting all their issues resolved at the earliest.
Regarding the highlighted issue of two road projects, the former Dy Chief Minister immediately took up the matter with DFO Rajouri, Arshdeep Singh and Executive Engineer PWD Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain asking them to identify the hurdles in completion of these projects. He also asked XEn to start construction of the aforesaid roads at the earliest. The Executive Engineer assured Kavinder Gupta that he would immediately initiate measures for early completion of roads. The deputation comprised of Iftkhar Mirza Inspector (Retd), Mohammad Majid, Mohammad Latif, Noor Hussain, Mohammad Shabir, Nazir Hussain and Mohammad Farooq besides others.
Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta performed Yoga at Bahu Fort to mark the International Day of Yoga here today. He also performed yoga at Booth level in Gandhi Nagar constituency.
