Jammu: In a quest to stern menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which teams of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, Gharota, Police Posts Phallian Mandal, Canal and Bathindi acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized 8 different vehicles involved in illegal mining.
The seized vehicles included two tippers (JK14E-9455 & JK02AP-0265) seized by Jhajjar Kotli police; a dumper (JK02BF-6535) seized by Gharota police; a dumper (JK02BF-6535) seized by Phallian Mandal police; a dumper (JK02CU 7487) and a tipper (JK02CU 1109) seized by Canal Police and two dumpers (JK02CT9260 & JK02CV 7088) seized by Bathindi police. The recoveries were made by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Insp Vikram Sharma, SHO Gharota Insp Rajesh Khajuria, Incharge Police Post Phallian Mandal PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal, Incharge Police Post Canal PSI Amreek Singh and Incharge Police Post Bathindi PSI Mohd Younis Khanday in their respective jurisdictions.
