JAMMU: Jammu is in full festive swing and keeping the old tradition alive, 92.7 BIG FM has made the Diwali much more special for its listeners in a big way by holding a ‘Big Diwali Patakha’ in which prizes worth lakhs of rupees were given through a simple contest.
Every hour a sequence of 3 numbers was announced and those who had the same sequence in their mobile numbers were declared winner.
Team big has been doing this contest ‘Big Diwali Patakha’ for the last 15 days in its different shows with RJ Manas, RJ Juhie and RJ Sarang where Big FM listeners won home décor products from Tawi Studios which includes on the spot lucky draw gifts worth Rs 5 lakhs.
Taking the Diwali and Dhanteras celebration a step ahead, a grand event was held today at Wave Mall where the on-air winners were distributed the gifts they had won and also BIG FM RJs played some on-spot contests with the audience and gave away the prizes to them by the Dy CM, Dr Nirmal Singh who was the Chief Guest on the occasion and MoS Education and Culture Priya Sethi and Senior BJP leader, Yudhvir Sethi were the Guests of Honour.
Cluster Head 92.7 BIG FM J&K and Punjab, Syed Mujtaba Ali Jaffery welcomed the dignitaries and all the winners and other guests. In his welcome speech he repeated the motto of BIG FM to bring a positive change in the lives of Jammuites through their medium of entertainment.
Dy CM Dr Nirmal Singh congratulated the winners and BIG FM for organizing such events today and in the past as well.
Priya Sethi wished happy Diwali to all the Jammuites and congratulated the winners and BIG FM Team for coming up with Big Diwali Patakha.
