BATOTE: Police foiled a major bovine smuggling attempt by rescuing 79 bovines and seizing five vehicles, however all the smugglers managed to flee from the spot.
According to a report, A Naka was established by Police party of Police Station Batote led by SHO Batote Vijay Choudhary.
During the Naka, five vehicles loaded with bovines were seized and 79 bovines were rescued, however drivers of the vehicles managed to run away taking the benefit of darkness and thick foliage.
The cases vide FIR Nos. 29, 30, 31, 32, 33/2017 under section 188 RPC 3 PC Act was registered and four trucks (JK03-2811, JK02AS-8211, JK11-5453 and JK13-1532) and a Tata Mobile (JK02BL-6110) were seized.
