POONCH: Five passengers and a driver were injured during a head-on collision between an Xylo and a truck near Kalai Bridge on Jammu – Poonch National Highway on Saturday.
According to information a Xylo bearing registration No JK12-6077 which was on its way from Poonch to Jammu, collided with truck No JK-2T-7435 coming from opposite side on Jammu – Poonch National Highway near Kalai Bridge Poonch. All the six persons on board including driver were seriously injured.
Immediately on receipt of information the Poonch Police party headed by SHO Jatinder Raina reached the spot and launched the rescue operation. All the injured identified as Kajal Raina daughter of Ram Pal, resident of Miransahib Jammu, Mohd Sajjad son of Mir Baz resident of Arahi Mandi, Tasvir Begum wife of Ghulam Rasool resident of Ward No 6, Poonch, Divya Raina daughter of Rajinder Kumar Raina resident of Ward No 8, Poonch, Nizam Din son of Bahadar Ali resident of Ward No 6 Poonch, and driver of xylo Govind Sharma son of Lakhmi Chand resident of Banpat, Poonch were shifted by police to District Hospital Poonch. The driver of the truck managed to flee from the spot.
The Poonch Police have registered the case and seized both the vehicles for investigation.
