R S PURA: The R S Pura Police during its Sanjeevni Operation conducted under the directions of SSP Jammu Dr. Sunil Gupta, arrested two drug smugglers with 66 kg of Bhukki on Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary flanked by SHO Pawan Kumar disclosed that the police in two different operations recovered two consignments of Bhukki (Popy straw). In the first case police team raided the Tiyagi Medical Store in Makhanpur Gujran and recovered 47 kg Bhukki and also arrested the owner of medical store Vijay Bhardwaj son of Des Raj resident of Makhanpur Gujran.
In the second case police intercepted a truck and during search recovered 19 kg Bhukki.
The police arrested the driver Pardeep Singh alias Deepu son of Rajinder Singh resident of Makhanpur Gujran.
In this regard case a FIR No. 33/2017 under Section 8/29 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib.
