60 traders Challaned in Poonch, Rs 10,000 fine recovered by Mobile Magistrate

POONCH : The Mobile Magistrate along with the officers of different departments and police visited the Poonch market and Challaned 60 traders and recovered a fine of Rs 10,000 on Friday.
In view of large scale encroachments by the shopkeepers and other violations of trading norms in the market, the District Magistrate Manzoor Ahmed accompanied by Assistant Controller Legal Metrology Kewal Krishan, Tehsil Supply Officer Kamlesh Kumar, Labour Inspector Kuldeep Sharma, Sanitary Inspector Abdul Rehman, Khilafwarzi Inspector Manveer Singh and others, visited the Poonch market and challaned 60 traders for various defaults including spreading their goods outside their shop, non-availability of rate lists and Naga absence forms etc. The Magistrate also realised a cash fine of Rs 10,000 from the erring traders.
While interacting with the shopkeepers and general public, Mobile Magistrate told them that a Lok Adalat is being held on 6th December, 2014 and asked the litigants and people to refer their disputes to the Lok Adalat for their fast and low cost settlement.
