55 bovines rescued, five arrested, four vehicles seized

RAMBAN: Police on Wednesday foiled four bovine smuggling bids by rescuing 55 bovines, arresting five smugglers and seizing four vehicles at ramban.
According to a report, a party of Police Station Ramban during routine Naka checking at Shan Palace Ramban stopped one truck (JK02W/3864) on way towards Srinagar from Jammu for checking. During checking of truck, 13 bovines were found loaded in it. Driver of the vehicle identified as Mohd Din son of Jamal Din and his accomplice Gafoor Ahmed son of Janelle Din resident of Parnote Ramban were arrested and a case vide FIR No. 109/2017 under section 188 RPC 3 PCA Act was registered against them at Police Station Ramban.
In another incident, an another vehicle Tata Mobile (JK19/1846) was stopped for checking and found loaded with seven bovines. Driver of the vehicle identified as Shabir Ahmed son of Ghulam Quader resident of Kanga Ramban was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 110/2017 under section 188 RPC 3 PCA Act was registered against him. While an Auto load Carrier (JK19/4571) was also found loaded with five bovines. Driver of auto identified as Mohd Din son of Jamal Din resident of Parnote was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 111/2017 under section 188 RPC 3 PCA Act was registered against him.
In a similar case, during routine Naka checking at Nashri, one Truck (JK02BD/4086) on way towards Srinagar from Udhampur was stopped at Naka for checking. During checking of truck, 30 bovines were found loaded in it. The driver of vehicle identified as MohdAltaf son of Mohd Shafi resident of Watrasoo Anantnag was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 42/2017 under section 188 RPC 3 PCA Act was registered against him at Police Station Chanderkote.
