JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 434 fresh COVID-19 cases on Friday, bringing the infection tally to 1,15,207, while 11 deaths in the last 24 hours raised the toll to 1,786, officials said.
Of the fresh cases, 202 are from the Jammu division and 232 from the Kashmir division, the officials said.
They said Jammu district recorded a maximum of 101 new cases of the novel coronavirus, followed by Srinagar district which registered 98 fresh infections.
The number of active cases rose to 4,849 in the Union Territory as 422 more patients recovered from the infection. A total of 1,08,572 COVID-19 patients have recovered in the UT, the officials said.
Seven of the new fatalities linked to the pandemic are from Jammu and four from the Kashmir region, they said.
According to the daily Media Bulletin, out of 1,15,207 positive cases, 4,849 are Active Positive, 1,08,572 have recovered and 1,786 have died; 641 in Jammu division and 1,145 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 32,94,008 test results available, 31,78,801 samples have been tested as negative till December 11, 2020.
Till date 8,22,335 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 22,620 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 4849 in isolation and 27,019 in home surveillance. Besides, 7,66,061 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 24,072 positive cases (including 98cases reported today) with 1,135 Active Positive, 22,504 recovered (including 100 cases recovered today), 433 deaths; Baramulla has 7,693 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today) with 191 Active Positive, 7,336 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today), 166deaths; Pulwama reported 5,266 positive cases (including 17 case reported today) with 188 active positive cases, 4,991 recovered (including 08 cases recovered today), 87 deaths; Kulgam has 2,624 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 66 Active Positive, 2,506 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today), 52 deaths; Shopian has 2,405 positive cases (including 08 case reported today) with 87 Active Positive, 2,281 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today) and 37 deaths; Anantnag district has 4,652 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 125 Active Positive, 4,445 recovered (including 05cases recovered today), 82 deaths; Budgam has 7255 positive cases (including 36 cases reported today) with 299 Active Positive and 6851 recovered (including 28 cases recovered today), 105 deaths; Kupwara has 5,347 positive cases (including 25 cases reported today) with 193 Active Positive, 5,067 recovered (including 21cases recovered today), 87 deaths; Bandipora has 4,524 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 104 Active Positive, 4,364 recovered (including 17 cases recovered today), 56 deaths and Ganderbal has 4,327 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 163 active positive cases, 4,124 recoveries (including 08 cases recovered today)and 40 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 21,954 positive cases (including 101 cases reported today) with 796 active positive cases, 20,834 recoveries (including 107 cases recovered today), 324 deaths; Rajouri has 3,676 positive cases (including 17 cases reported today) with 237 active positive cases, 3,387 recovered (including 12 cases recovered today), 52 deaths; Ramban has 2,025 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 91 active positive, 1913 recoveries and 21 deaths; Kathua has 2,982 positive cases (including 28 cases reported today) with 125 Active positive, 2,812 recovered (including 12 cases recovered today), 45 deaths; Udhampur has 3,909 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 393 active positive cases, 3,463 recovered (including 21 cases recovered today) and 53 deaths; Samba has 2607 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 197 Active Positive, 2,376 recoveries and 34 deaths; Doda has 3,274 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 173 active positive cases, 3,043 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered today), 58 deaths; Poonch has 2417 positive cases (including 02cases reported today) with 35 active positive, 2,360 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today), 22 deaths; Reasi has 1,555 positive cases with 98 active positive, 1446recoveries and 11 deaths while Kishtwar has 2,643 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 153 active positive cases and 2,469 recoveries (including 61 cases recovered today) and 21 deaths.
