4 youths killed in separate road accidents in Jammu and Kashmir

J&K Govt facing shortage of bureaucratsJammu: Four youths were killed and eight others injured in separate road accidents in Jammu, Kishtwar and Kathua districts, police said today.

Two persons died and another injured when the motorcycle on which they were riding hit a divider while negotiating a curve at Sidhra on the outskirts of Jammu last evening, they said.

Locals rushed the trio to hospital where doctors declared two of them as brought dead, they said, adding the deceased have been identified as Narinder Sharma (21) and Chanchal Singh (20).

In second mishap, two persons died on the spot and another injured when the vehicle they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge near Kishtwar town in the district yesterday, they said.

The deceased have been identified as Sajjad Hussain (25) and Muzaffar (24), police said adding the injured were hospitalised.

In the third accident, six passengers were injured when a bus in which they were travelling hit a truck parked on wrong side of the road at Thien area in Kathua district last evening.

Cases have been registered in connection with the three accidents and further investigations are on, police said.
