4 RR organises basic computer course for girls

BHADARWAH: In its endeavour to promote IT literacy among youths, especially girl students of Bhadarwah Tehsil, 4 Rashtriya Rifles(RR) located at Bhadarwah under Operation Sadhbhavana today started a short term basic computer course for 30 young girl students through FACE Computer institute.
The training capsule is aimed at increasing awareness of IT education among students with an effort to bring them at par with their counterparts in other parts of the country.
The training curriculum includes teaching the basics of computer operations, MS Office and safe surfing on the Internet for duration of one month.
On the occasion officers from 4RR and staff of FACE Computer Institute, complimented the students for availing the opportunity and asked them to make optimum use of the same.
While speaking an army officer of 4RR said that the course is a step in bringing a positive change in the education methodology and will boost the efforts of the government towards the ‘Skill India’ mission.
“The education in the field of Information Technology will not only help them in their education but also boost their employment prospects in times to come”, an officer added.
Swati Manhas and Afsha Shameem will be instructors for the course.
Students including Bismah Khanam, Ateeba Mehak , Priya Sharma and others also spoke on the occasion and thanked army for organising such training course.
