JAMMU: 35th Jammu District Volleyball Championship for boys and girls 2024 commenced on Saturday at Play Field Shastri Nagar, here.
This championship is being organised by Jammu District Volleyball Association under the aegis of Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council.
Rajiv Sharma, Member J&K Sports Council was the Chief Guest who inaugurated the championship.
In this championship, 11 boys teams and five girls teams are participating.
Today’s Results
GIRLS: Trikuta Junior Volleyball Club beat Army Children Club Jammu by 2-0 sets; Trikuta Senior Volleyball Club beat GHS Suhanjana by 2-0 sets. The final match will be played between Trikuta Junior team and Trikuta Senior team at 1:00 PM tomorrow.
BOYS: Pargwal Volleyball Club beat Nagrota Volleyball Club by 2-0; MA Stadium A beat volleyball Club Marh by 2-0; Pargwal Volleyball Club beat MA Stadium B by 2-1. In the first semi final, Pallanwala Club beat Pargwal Volleyball Club by 2-1 and in second semi final MA stadium A beat Arnia Volleyball Club by 2-1 sets. Final shall be played between Pallanwala Volleyball Club and MA Stadium A tomorrow at 2 PM. Other dignitaries present were H.S Gill Secretary Jammu District Volleyball Association, Rajiv Dogra Retd. Volleyball coach SAI, Akbar Ali Office Secretary VAJK, Subash Shastri, Naresh Kumar Volleyball coach, Amarjit Singh VFI referee and Ajay Badera.
Today’s Matches were officiated by Mulkh Raj VFI referee, Amit Kumar VFI referee, Anil Kumar and Ankit Chandel.
